Dear Andreas

We (the xia2 & CCP4 core team) intend to put some effort into improving the i2
gui for xia2 over the next couple of months – this shows that there are two
gaps –

- it is not clear what the input is – it really should be

- you should be able to specify images / ranges explicitly by selecting

Your feedback (implicit rather than explicit) has been noted ☺

Best wishes Graeme

Subject: Re: [ccp4bb] xia2 in CCP4 7.0 not seeing files

I apologize for my temporary brain freeze. There's nothing wrong with CCP4 or
Xia2 - at least not what saw as a problem. Xia2 wants directories, not files.
Choosing a directory selects all the data inside for processing. Doh!

All best.

Dear all,

I've installed CCP4 7.0 on a CentOS 6.6 virtual machine. Trying to run xia2,
I'm foiled at the step of Loading Images. There are no files in the Open
dialog, only directories, no matter whether All Files (*.*) or (*) is selected
in the Files of type box. (These are the only two choices.) Other programs,
e.g. Shelx are ok.

Can anyone advise a fix?

Thanks and all best.

Andreas
