I don’t know what’s changed but I’m receiving the cctech digests as a
collection of mime attachments now. I’m using an iPad and used to just get a
lengthy plain email. The mime attachments are a real PITA to try to read!
Can anything be done?
Thanks, Bob

Yes indeed - as I (meant to have) said, no reply to his email listed there.

I've been using vtserver to transfer an OS to a minimal pdp11 (only a HD and
console port so far). Works fine but it has a well-documented 32MB file limit.
This website http://home.windstream.net/engdahl/vtserver.htm mentions some
hacks but I've been unable to contact the author. Anyone have det

Beginning of the 70's I was using a pdp-10 at TSL (Time Sharing Limited, UK)
over a phone line writing logic simulation software in Fortran. Remember it
fondly, especially the number of times I needed to redial in and try to
reconnect to my session. Still smell the teletype. Cost about £10 for the

Does anyone (UK preferably) have a caddy for a DEC RRD44 CDROM drive which
they can spare?
I've acquired a microVax 3100 with no software which I want to mount VMS on.
Thanks

I'd be interested in a couple. I could only find some oversized stud-mounted
ones when I refurbed my TU56 and although they're perfectly functional
Interestingly(?) both my RK05 and RK05J had an assembly of 3, not 4, 2/3rd
AA NiCd cells for retract, completely decayed of course. I replaced them
with 3 discrete tagged NiMh AA cells (plenty of headroom) soldered and
shrinkwrapped. They work fine, lots of retract force. The clip which holds

I need a couple of DecTapes to finish debugging (and to use) my TU56. There
haven't been any on Ebay or anywhere for many months. Does anyone have a
couple they'd be willing to sell me?
I'd prefer ones formatted from a pdp8 since that's what I'm using, but any
at all would do.
Anyone?
