Hi All,
I'm in the process of building and restoring a PDP-8/e, and now I've got a
second serial card I'd like to give OS/8 a try.
I'm pretty sure I've got the boot loader entered properly, and the address
+ baud rates set correctly on the PDP and PC.
When I start os8diskserver with "./os8disk
Hi All,
I've been testing an M7869 recently and noticed that my 11/34 would give a
BUS ERR whenever it was halted or if I tried to read from the switch
register, so I used the "wholly scientific" fingerpoken troubleshooting
method and noticed the ROM at U33 (P/N 23345A9) was piping hot.

Hi All,
Does anyone have a spare RL02 terminator for sale?

Hi All,
I've just picked up an 11/53 with an RL02, but there's no terminator.
Does anyone have one for sale? (or trade perhaps?)
Regards,
-Tom

Did all punch card manufacturers use the same stock though? I vaguely
recall ICL cards feeling somewhat smoother?

There's a British supplier that recently had another run made, although
it's on a roll.

Maybe the buyer was taking this hobby to the next level: a vintage way of
life?
Hi All,
I have a few IBM PS/2s in various states of disrepair that are free to
anyone willing to collect from Yatton (Near Bristol), or arrange a courier.

Model 30-286 - powers on to BASIC prompt, bad floppy drive, missing hard

Hi Adrian,
I would also be interested, should Mark be unable to collect them for any
reason.

I happen to work for a company that is contracted to build and maintain

What document did you try to open?
I've never used OmniWeb or Nexis, but my experience with Mosaic and early
Netscape versions makes me think you'd have a hard time getting modern
pages to load without crashing.
I should think that Lynx or the original Line Mode browser would be OK.
Well mine's an aftermarket one from "Jade Computers", as far as I'm aware
MITS only used the plastic guides.
Aren't the guides in the 8800 and 8800b mounted the same distance from the
transformer?

Hi all,
I'm in need of a new cabin and might be willing to part with a couple of my
more unusual systems to fund it.
I have a complete Xerox 6085 with monitor, keyboard, mouse, and tape drive
in very good visual condition, with only a few scuffs on the case and some

I'd quite like to see a fully fledged panel for Q-BUS based PDP-11s, or
even a VAX.

Shaun, I see in another thread that you've found the drivers. I'm still
interested in buying a controller if you've still got one.

I recently bought a Qualstar 1052 from Nico de Jong, which may fit the bill
if you're happy with 1600 and 3200bpi. I believe he has another available.

Hi Shaun,
I'd be interested in the pertec board if the drivers ever show up.

Hi all,
I'm looking for a pertec controller suitable for a Qualstar 1052.
ISA/SCSI/S-100 interfaces are fine. If anyone has one to sell, please let
me know.

I once found a whole box worth of crayola crayons in a 1541 disk drive.
What amazes me is how nothing was blocked and they hadn't melted.
