Reformed the big capacitors, tested the power supply, replaced all
electrolytics on the control board (two were leaking) with hermetically sealed
axial tantalums, and powered up on the variac today. Seems to be largely
working at least for reads!
Thanks,
Jonathan

There's a "Model 20..." on the silkscreen, but as luck would have it, the
roll-over standoff in the middle of the board goes through the rest of the
number!

It might be the Mikra-D MD-2040 1702 programmer. Similar to the MD-2044 on my
website but a parallel data interface (e.g., manual switches and lights)
instead of a serial RS-232 interface. The 2040 is briefly mentioned in the .pdf
file here: https://deramp.com/downloads/eprom_p...kra-d/md-2044/

I assume the box is just a somewhat generic project enclosure, similar to
standard offerings from Bud, Hammond, etc.

I'll go through the power supply tomorrow or Monday and see where I can get
with read mode. It looks like writes should be hardware timed, so that's good
news!

It's definitely not Intel, but I pulled the control board and traced it a bit
this afternoon. It seems to be very similar to the circuit used on the Intel
MP7-03 1702A programming module for the MCS-4/MCS-8 development systems.

It appears to be for 1702A EPROMs. Working on cleaning it up and figuring it
out!
It reminds me of Intel MCS-80 boards, from the 8008 days.
