Hi Guys,
It's a long shot but I’m searching for a manual, which hopefully someone
has scanned somewhere.
In my latest “check-my-gear-works” audit, an IBM PS/2 monitor failed. It
worked initially although brightness and contrast needed to be almost fully
up to see
Hi !
I finally find some time to work again on my D-116, try to find the
problem(s), thus principally at the level of PSUs.
As you suggested, I inspected particularly the large capacitors of both
power supplies. I replaced those that appeared suspicious according to
the results via my ESR

Hi Rob,
I've seen lots of PLCC packages soldered directly to the board. Many BIOS
chips were socketed, presumably because they were the last to get inserted
unto a motherboard as BIOS firmware updates were issued during
manufacturing.
Removal won't be easy but you could either:

I was looking at this thread

And they mention the data they were looking at has AGC applied.
I didn't know any floppies used AGC in their read channel and in particular

Hi Andy,
In that case, I am interested too. I am on the East coast of Ireland.
I don't suppose you make regular trips to North Wales or anything like that :-)

I remember a lot of
It is SCSI.
You are one of two people interested both of whom have transport problems.
I REALLY don't want to pack it for transport though there a few courier firms
that could send it
collecting from here (I'd probably put DPD as the most reliable that knows this
location)
If you're keen
Hi,
HP 88780 9-track tape drive (also several tapes "new" in packaging).
Both were working when last powered-on but that was a couple of years ago.
If the drive is the SCSI version, I'd be VERY () much interested!
I'm located in Germany. Must think how to get it here in case that I
could
I already did that, it looked "normal". But I will check it all again. For now
I need to investigate the two pins on the gate array that appear connected to
0V on one board but not on the other.

Hello Rob,
please try to check the status of the OE input, comparing it to the other
motherboard.
