Hello Philip,
I registered interest in purchasing a Omnibus USB interface some time ago. Is
this project still alive?

Anders,
I go to Santa Clarita about twice a week.
What kind of help do you need ?
I'm in Acton, about 20 miles north of Santa Clarita.

Doing some quick research, the governing patent seems to be
https://www.google.com/patents/US5295247
filed in 1992, where the term IDE is used exclusively.
Further, PC Magazine has ads for IDE interface motherboards in early 1989.
Neither mentions ATA.
If desired, I'll keep digging.

All,

they're still dead dead dead.
I don't see any obviously blown components, and the fuses are fine, but
several of the caps I replaced WERE leaky. I

I've looked for but cannot find any WD or Compaq documents publically using IDE
to describe what ultimately issued as ATA-1. My search included various Compaq
maintenance manuals. The earliest public use of ATA and AT attachment that I
can find is March 1969 at the CAM committee draft

Err, exactly which power supply is this - an H786, or an H7861? If so, there
are prints
Hi all,
Instead of jumping straight in and ordering an SLU, I decided to check
the power supply voltages. My +12V rail appears to be only giving about
+4.6V, where as the 5V rails are something like 4.9V, which should be
fine.
This is an 11/23+ chassis and the power supply seems very large, but
