If you look at Linux's lkkbd.c[1], you'll find the pinout, how to build an adaptor to use it on a regular serial port and a pointer to some scanned PDF[2] where the hardware and protocol is descriped in depth. I wrote a program years ago to read this an use it as an X11 or console keyboard. NetBSD has a driver too.
