Will DL DVD-R be supported at some point in the future, or will
compatibility mode make DVD+R usable on standard DVD players? I'm in the
process of moving my VCR collection to DVD.
Cdrecord will of course support DVD-R-DL when it becomes available. I
I just got a dual-layer DVD burner which includes a feature identified as
HD_BURN, which claims to be able to put 1.4GB on a CD blank readable in a
DVD reader (any DVD reader).
Is that supported by non-Windows software yet?
