Hello,
Anyone know how to get Acrobat 9 running* on Centos 4.7?
Looks like a libc conflict:
/Adobe/Reader9/Reader/intellinux/bin/acroread: error while loading shared \
libraries: /apps/Adobe/Reader9_libs/libstdc++.so.6: requires glibc 2.5 or
later dynamic linker
Thanks
Thomas

My first guess is maybe it's a problem with irqbalance but it wouldn't
explain the crashes.
Interestingly, I stopped irqbalance yesterday afternoon and it ran
all night just fine.
It's possible you have a misbehaving CPU - maybe one which
Hi All,
I have a Centos 5 box serving NFS3 shares from an LSI megaraid card.
The box has been up and down for about a week and trying to figure
out what's up. Found a syslog message today about APIC error on CPU
and after rebooting with NOAPIC, I now get this:
# cat /var/log/kernel | grep BUG
Could you please provide a description of the components in the system
you are trying to boot it in?
Do you have at least 256-512 MB of RAM?
Hi,
The CD/DVD image was downloaded from mirrors.gigenet:

Hello All
Anyone have a workaround for booting the 5.2 LiveCD?
I'm getting this error:
no root yet, udev rule will write symlink
Then I drop to a shell, with a message to create a symlink
to /dev/root and then exit the shell. There is also a message
that it cannot find the root filesystem.

Hi Johnny,
Great, thanks for the info. Just in case anyone else is
interested, here's how it worked for me:

# rpm -Uvh
Hello All.
How do I find out what flags were used to compile
the Centos openldap-2.3.27-8.el5_2.4 rpm package?
I'm specifically wondering if it was compiled with
--enable-lmpasswd
Thanks!

Hello,
I'm setting up a reverse proxy in Apache (httpd-2.2.3-11.el5_1.centos.3)
I have some pages being served which contain hard-coded names of machines
behind the proxy, which obviously do not resolve on the client side.
I found an Apache config item called ProxyHTMLURLMap* which supposedly

Look if cups is installed and if alternative is correctly set.
Yes, something looks amiss there. Thanks, I'll dig around

This may help if you don't mind using lilo.

Thanks - Will lilo work with LVM on the root partition? (centos5 default)
