I have picked up the HP LaserJet 1022n on eBay. It is black and white only,
but works well with Linux and all versions of Windows I have available. They
are generally inexpensive on eBay and the tone is cheap. I can get 4 toner
cartridges for around $25 on eBay. It is small, dependable,

I had the same problem going to 6.8. In my case the problem stemmed from the
fact that
ct: Re: [CentOS] Need help
I did try other console and it did not work.
I did go from 6.7 to 6.8 but with centos not redhat.

Try another console like ALT-F2. See if you have a black screen login prompt.
I opened a bug with RedHat for a system that when I went from 6.7 to 6.8 booted
but would not start the X server. Problem was in the MACH64 driver. It is
missing an external symbol that the X server requires.

When it behaves weird like that, starting to boot and then quitting and it is a
Dell, open the case and look at the motherboard. Look for failed electrolytic
capacitors. They

Thanks, that's a thought. The cover's already off But forget that, no
soldering here.

In any case, if you can identify bad components on the board. You can avoid
wasting
Just for grins, pull off the cover and look at the electrolytic capacitors on
the motherboard.
Look for ones with the tops pushed up instead of being flat. This can cause
all sorts of odd behavior. Often the machine with a blown capacitor will
continue to run till it is powered off.
r, latest update in CentOS 6.8, symbol lookup
error
So the rebuilt not work?

I am going to see if I can find someone in the organization with a Red Hat
account to open the bug. In the meantime, I came up with a workaround.

I am loading a server from the CentOS 6.7 ISO and then upgrading. After
loading at release 6.7, the machine behaves normally. After running yum
update, the X server will not start. Attempts to start it manually result in
one of the following messages depending upon which OS is loaded. I

I found a free ftp client on the Apple store which let me ftp pictures over to
my Linux box (CentOS 6). For some reason, the iPhone would not let me see the
video files.
