What I think is unclear is that the original text mentions Fedora.
So, saying it's 'midstream' between CentOS and Fedora makes me think
you're taking package versions in Fedora and building it on/for
CentOS.

I'll also mention that the word 'stream' is being heavily abused by
CentOS at this point.

I realize that a lot of work goes into taking Fedora stuff and putting
into RHEL, so I wouldn't want to step on that.

[CentOS-docs] Misleading information on main page about Centos Stream

2020-08-31 Thread Jonathan Billings
Not sure if this is a Docs issue or others...

I came across this page:

https://www.centos.org/centos-stream/

This is pretty misleading. Isn’t Stream just a collection of repos that offer
pre-release packages for the next RHEL point release? It’s not a midstream
between Fedora and RHEL.

I'd like to volunteer as well.

You might want to try on the main list, this is the centos-docs list.

I got rid of every reference, since every supported version of Postfix supports
TLS these days (although limited by SSL libraries to what ciphers and TLS
versions they’ll support)

[CentOS-docs] New Wiki editor, would like to update HowTos/postfix_sasl_relayhost

2020-04-19 Thread Jonathan Billings
Hello,

I just signed up as a wiki editor (JonathanBillings) and I’d like to edit:

https://wiki.centos.org/HowTos/postfix_sasl_relayhost

… which is very out of date and could easily be updated with more accurate
information.
