Sure. That was my first impulse but as I said, in my other osd
servers, these mounts are tmpfs filesystems.
It's easy to manually mount them but how would I populate them?

Hi,
Just rebooted one of my OSD servers after upgrading Ceph from 14.2.9 to
14.2.10 and it's OSDs won't come up.
I find the following messages on my log:

Hi,
How can I set the user to be used by rados command line utility?
I can see no option for that in https://docs.ceph.com/docs/nautilus/man/8/rados/

Hi,
I'm trying to create a namespace in rados, create a user that has
access to this created namespace and with rados command line utility
read and write objects in this created namespace using the created
user.
I can't find an example on how to do it.
Can someone point me to such example or

Great John. It worked.

Hi,
I have a rather small cephfs cluster with 3 machines right now: all of
them sharing MDS, MON, MGS and OSD roles.
I had to move all machines to a new physical location and,
unfortunately, I had to move all of them at the same time.
They are already on again but ceph won't be accessible as

Hi,
Trying to create a new OSD following the instructions available at
https://docs.ceph.com/docs/master/rados/operations/add-or-rm-osds/
On step 3 I'm instructed to run "ceph-osd -i {osd-num} --mkfs
--mkkey". Unfortunately it doesn't work:
# ceph-osd -i 3 --mkfs --mkkey

Hi,
Shouldn't Ceph's documentation be presented "per version"?
I believe there might be documentation for Ceph per version but I
can't see in Ceph documentation site how to easily see each version's
docs.

Hi,
The crushmap produced by ceph osd getcrushmap in ceph version 14.2.4
has more info than defined in
https://docs.ceph.com/docs/cuttlefish/rados/operations/crush-map/
There is a second id per bucket:
host a1-df {
id -3 # do not change unnecessarily
id -4 class hdd # do not change

Hi,
I have a CephFS instance and I am also planning on also deploying an
Object Storage interface.
My servers have 2 network boards each. I would like to use the current
local one to talk to Cephs clients (both CephFS and Object Storage)
and use the second one to all Cephs processes to talk one
Hi,
Just starting to use CephFS.
I would like to know the impacts of having one single CephFS mount X
having several.
If I have several subdirectories in my CephFS that should be
accessible to different users, with users needing access to different
sets of mounts, would it be important for me
Hi,
I'm just deploying a CephFS service.
I would like to know the expected differences between a FUSE and a kernel mount.
Why the 2 options? When should I use one and when should I use the other?

Hi,
I'm trying ceph for the first time.
I'm trying to use the repository below:
deb https://download.ceph.com/debian-nautilus/ stretch main
But it seems that this repository only has the ceph-deploy package,
not the rest of ceph.
Why is that? How can I get all updated nautilus packages?
