i'm trying to add a extra monitor to my already existing cluster
i do this with the ceph-deploy with the following command
ceph-deploy mon add mynewhost
the ceph-deploy says its all finished
but when i take a look at my new monitor host in the logs i see the following
error
cephx: verify_reply
i followed the following doc
http://docs.ceph.com/docs/master/radosgw/config/
and have set this to
[client.radosgw.gateway]
host = qj6xe
keyring = /etc/ceph/keyring.radosgw.gateway
rgw socket path = /var/run/ceph/ceph.radosgw.gateway.fastcgi.sock
log_file = /var/log/ceph/radosgw.log

i had the same issues
in my case i just upgraded to 14.04
and then installed the deleted ceph packages again
and this worked pretty smooth
everything restarted again and worked as normal

all ceph releated servers have the same NTP server
and double checked the time and timezones
the are all correct

the current/first monitor is installed by hand
when i do
ceph-deploy mon add HOST
the new monitor seems to assimilate the old monitor
so the old/first monitor is now in the same state as the new monitor
so it is not aware of anything.
