I didn't have any problems with the first or second install. Are you sure that you stopped all (3) of the services that CF has running prior to installing the updater? If you didn't stop the services, maybe the system couldn't over write some of the classes with the same name. Likewise, since

We had that issue on both our test box and our production box. It had to do with the fact that the JRUN engine is case sensitive, but Windows is not. So when JRUN looks for files in the changed format (new updater format), it did not find a dupe due to the change of case in coding, BUT Windows

We are having some serious problems with a CF 5 SP3 server that keeps stopping and starting its CF service. The stops/starts will happen in clusters, usually 4-5 times within 1-2 minutes at different times during the day. In one 20 minute block, it did this 17 times. The server itself is

The standard answer is to lock all your Client/Session Application variables. Another solution that worked for me when this happened was to uninstall CF and reinstall it and the service packs. Rebooting between of course.

A couple of places to look are in the admin. Check the box next to log unresponsive request longer than n minutes and you can increase or decrease as needed until you start getting some log entries. Another place to look is in the undeliverable mail spool, if you have any 0 byte files it will hang
