then. If it's a mission critical database, the company should have some
kind of support contract with them. If they don't you should push them

A few thoughts, try tricking CF Filemaker. Maybe you can use an MS SQL odbc driver/connector. Or, maybe you can setup some form of replication or linking between say, Access or MS SQL and the FileMaker. Then, use CF to access the new DB.
