1. I've looked into the elemental/black carbon issue briefly, and I agree
that this is confusing. We have 22 names referring to
elemental_carbon_dry_aerosol_particles and two referring to
black_carbon_ambient_aerosol. It appears that "elemental carbon" can be used as
a
