This was proposed as an action at the CF User Meeting in 2020. Is anybody
interested in working on this? I would join them at the 2022 User Meeting to
hack on it!

At the CF Community Meeting 2020 we proposed asking contributors to add
themselves to the authors list if they are contributing substantially enough to
the Conventions that their names should be included there.
I think this would be a good idea to include in `CONTRIBUTING.md` but we also
need

Looks like most of this discussion hs been captured elsewhere, including the
nice change of moderators announcing the merge date and then merging on that
date. I believe this can be closed here, although I'd like to test the waters
of Kanban for improvements separately.

Dear community, this minor change to CONTRIBUTING.md comes from the CF 2020
meeting at which it was proposed. I've been slow following it up, obviously. Is
anybody interested in supporting or opposing this minor change?
