Michel,
If you are going to use queries than there is no clean way to remove rows -
best bet would be to have another column with an active flag. To delete
you just set it to 0 and then ignore it in further processing. The only way
to actually remove a row is to copy the query except for that
I suspect that it is the _time that is doing it, _time is a validation rule
which basically says if there is a field named send make sure it is a
valid time. As such, CFINSERT is ignoring that field. You'll have the same
problem with _date _float _range etc. Try renaming the field to something
You don't want to use tags to use functions - part of the appeal of
functions is they don't have the overhead of tags, and are thus much
quicker.
One solution is to create libraries - CFM files with related functions, a
string library, a math library, a formatting library, etc, then just include

Yes, and yes - as many times as you want. The CFFLUSH tag flushes the
current ColdFusion output buffer to the web server, which then sends it back
to the client. The first instance of the CFFLUSH tag on a page sends back
all of the HTML headers as well. Subsequent CFFLUSH tags send the output
be painfully slow to be practical?

And for the ones you cannot get at ... ColdFusion 5 will include a new
function called GetHTTPRequestData() that returns a structure containing ALL
headers and more.

Uncle Ben? That's a new one :-)
And yes, books will be updated (actually, rewritten) for CF5.
My new CF Express book is on CF4.5, and the soon-to-be-announced (or did I
just do that?) "Certified ColdFusion Developer Study Guide" is on CF4.5.

Hi,
Just wondering if there was a way to reference the entire url string
instead of just a certain named variable.
Without seeing the CFQUERY tag this is just a guess, but that error
usually occurs when a) you've mistyped a column name, b) missed single
quotes (or used them when you should not have), c) missed commas.

Put it in a database, three columns:
1) Month_Number
2) Month_Name_Full
3) Month_Name_Abbrev
Then just cache the query.
This will also help if you veer need to internationalize the application.
