Does anyone know of a way to connect to Documentum from ColdFusion? I
don't see anything on Macromedia's exchange, but this seems like the
sort of thing someone would write a custom tag or CFX tag for...
Any direction is appreciated. Thanks!

I've never used this particular application, but if you also have PHP
support in your web instance, you may be able to use a PHP program to
manage your Oracle DB for use with CF.
A quick google search yielded this link...

Neil,
Why set the initial and max heap size the same?Is that
recommendation documented from Macromedia anywhere or is that from
your own experiences?

If you can perform the desired operation (creating a windows share, or
whatever...)via a Windows command prompt, then you should be able to
write a CF tag to perform the same, using cfexecute.I haven't done
this exact thing, but I wrote a custom tag to programmatically map a
network drive from 1
Hi All,
I've been working on Stress/Load testing some applications recently,
and wondered which, if any, testing tools work best for testing CF
applications?
I've mostly used the general web stress test tools (Rational, MS Web
Application Stress Tool, etc...).However, it seems there are some
Yeah, it sounds like your webserver is losing its configuration
somehow.I'd check the config file for your webserver, and compare it
to another webserver that's still working (httpd.conf for Apache,
obj.conf for iPlanet, etc...).If you run into specific questions
there, post them back to the list.
Mike,
Not sure I can answer all the parts of your question, but I recently
worked through an issue with MACR tech support on the use of a JRUN
virtual mapping.
In my case, we wanted to move the location of the files which make up
the CF Administrator...for example, instead of using the
Dave,
Thanks for your response. On the clustering piece...are you saying
that you are able to connect to an individual JRUN instance with an
external webserver (Apache, iPlanet, etc) after the JRUN instance has
been added to a cluster?
For example, lets say I've got a cluster called cluster1
Really?your connected web instances continued to work after you
moved the JRUN instances into a cluster?I tried this exact thing and
it failed (w/Apache and MX .1)I'll give it another try though, just
to double-check, and reply back tomorrow.
Thanks for the info.
