Uhm.. How about
- 2 servers monitoring the CF service so that we know, for sure,
when it's dead.
- Nightly restart script.
- Performance counter alert to restart service when it spirals
and kills itself.
- Pager notifications
I, too, thought it best to wait for dot-one before a complete roll-out.
And that's what we've done.
And I totally agree with your statement below.
|
| The problems being faced by CFMX are very different due in

Actually, that would be great, if CF wasn't the item that's crashed.
Since it's dead (or rather.. Not responding) it appears that it simply

Nope.. I think that what happened was that the cache files existed prior
to changing the "cacherealpath" var to "false". Then, when they
deleted, it was already too late... Was in cache.
So now that I've deleted all the class files, it got rid of the issue,
once a restart happened.

Here's the scenario:
1 - Shared IIS5/CFMX server
2 - About 20 sites on this server -- 4 of which use CF.
3 - Site in question has no special setup.. Standard "site" in
IIS.
4 - Site has no "data-driven" pages.. i.e., nothing that builds
a page based on DB criteria.
Just out of curiosity Brook, have you noticed whether this has occurred
