Hi Ian, Railo contains a search engine as well. But it's not Verity, it's Lucene, the open source Apache project. You don't have to change the code in order to use Lucene. It still uses all known tags like CFINDEX, CFSEARCH and CFCOLLECTION.
Flash remoting works as well. Possible over regular .cfm calls or by addressing webservices.
