Looking for some recommendations for charting software. Nothing all
that complicated, needs to to bar charts, line charts, etc.
I've looked at cfchart (not a big fan, used it on other projects),
jfreechart from jfree.org, and kavachart (which is what we're using
currently).

Serious charting still requires something outside of coldfusion. Guess not
many of us using charting else would be different.
Agreed,
we use tee-chart, its one of the most powerful tools we,ve seen out there,
hooks into ASP VBscript and ends up as an embedded ActiveX component in the
browser.

If you plan on using gfxgraphicsserver.com, well... make sure the box has
plenty of horsepower, because I can tell you that it has repeatedly crashed
our development box at work because it was underpowered and too much load
on it.
Also, just remember that CFMX isn't taking a very good liking
Speaking only about line graphs and charts... my experience has shown:
CF5 does NOT have charting capabilities... the cfgraph tag is nearly useless except in
a few very limited instances.
CFMX has cfchart... an upgrade to cfgraph but it also has some pretty severe
limitations on presentation.
