This actually shouldn't be too difficult as long as you are good friends
with regular expressions. Michael Dinowitz actually used eBay as an example
for creating a Intelligent Agent at the 2000 Dev Conference last month.
The real problem with this is that one ebay changes their site, you
ebay's kinda protective of their site. They recently threatened legal action
against an acution search site (a site that was made to search all auction
sites for what you were looking for (yahoo, ebay, shopgoodwill etc.))

While not exactly like eBay, i tried a similar scheme for a client...
a general-purpose "harvest resolve URLs" so that all linked URLs
would be in a frame ore even a popup window (the client's window was
to remain active as the control center).

Goto.com does it - esnipe.com does it - ebay just bought www.half.com - a CF
site, not that that has "anything" to do with what you - asked - i just like
