Is it possible to export a DSN list using Cold Fusion
Server Administrator or otherwise (CF 5) ... so that
I don't have to manually reenter the DSN's whenever

Yes, you can use the Archive Restore functionality in CF 5 to export any
server settings you like. When you archive
Create a ColdFusion Archive (using the archive tool found in the
administrator) of the relevant bits and pieces you want to transfer.

OK... I found the archive stuff in Administrator... tried to create an
test archive and it just added a test.properties file, but no .car
file...

guess after you create an archive you have to build it? when I
try to build the archive ... the next step asks for a file
