If I change it to include the index.cfm it still says the same thing.
Anyone familiar with what could be causing this mime-type problem?

I'm working through getting Verity up and running and I've hit a snag. Verity
is going through the files fine but it's not pulling the page title attribute.
The reason for this is the page title and some other values are stored in a
database, then pulled with the page name when read on
you need to use vspider to index your site instead of verity.
verity will index your pages as if they were documents - basically, it
will index the source code, not the rendered html.
for that you need to use vspider.

Have you tried using the Verity K2 Spider on your site? It's
a full web spider that will follow all the links on your site
and index the content regardless of it being static or dynamic.
