I'm curious as to what people are using for IDE of choice
I am using CS4 primarily although have not messed with any of its new
features. Now I am wondering about the live code. The only thing that
annoys me and mainly because DW8 that I had before on here did not do it is
if I am tabbed over writing code and go to a new line in DW8 if I hit
backspace
Preferences Code Format Indent with n Tabs|Spaces.
Set it to Tabs.

Arron,
Basically live code is view source in real time. DW renders the actual
rendered html, CSS and JS (and data pulled in by AJAX calls) on the fly as
you interact with the page. It is mostly for AJAX-y and UI design type
stuff, which I have been doing a lot more of lately.

I'm reluctantly using Dreamweaver CS3. After years of Homesite use,
there are a bunch of things I still can't get used to in DW.
I've tried Eclipse and just can't find myself liking it all that much.
It's OK, but I think it's got the feel of something that's trying to
be everything to everybody.
We are using DW because we can't get eclipse to do what we want. Due to
the interesting server access structure we have, we have to open our
files via WINSCP and since eclipse won't open as a result of clicking on
a file, we have to use DW. While I know Eclipse's structure is project

Or, a good argument for a better development environment. We used to
have a similar environment, and now I can't imagine NOT doing purely
