It's my understanding that there's no trial edition binary, and that the
installer for the licensed and unlicensed versions is exactly the same. So,
yes.

Hi Tom,
Thank you for the link and info. I have a more specific question on

Try This:Use the COUNT SQL command to solve your problem. This is
guaranteed to work.
cfquery name=add_check datasource=dpch
SELECT COUNT(ce_orgname) AS NumInserts, ce_index, ce_orgname

WHERE ce_email = '#Form.ce_email#'
/cfquery

I am trying to find a cool dhtml navigation menu - something really
original - but I can't seem to find anything that is blowing my socks
off. I've looked on dynamic drive and they have some pretty good ones,
but not quite what I am looking for. I'll get to writing my own if I
can't find anything
That's correct.

Unless I'm missing something, this is needless complication. If the insert
fails, you'll get an error. If you don't get an error, the insert succeeded.
hmm, I guess that's true.Still, I'd like to know why the IF fails.I sometimes need to do a GT 0 to see if there're duplicates and it'll fail then

I have this query:

This works pretty well - but on some RDBMS's you can get a buffer overrun on your IN () list if it grows very large.
I've had that happen at 10,000 or so. Actually, it is more likely when using Cfqueryparam because the array allocated
for the bind may have a maximum value. If you pass in an actual

Do you have a good understanding of OOP encapsulation? If you're looking for the properties of this object, you won't be able to get to them using
aCat.ID
aCat.categoryName
aCat.status
Rather, you'll need to get them by using the get() methods, i.e.
aCat.getID()
aCat.getCategoryName()
Yes, It looks like it. The methods are there for the accompanying
properties. But I passed an invoke argument of id=1 and see nothing.
I also tried #aCat.getCategoryName#, which returned nothing at all (the
init should have set all of these details...) Anybody?...

No, thats what I meant, although what I need isn't what everyone else

who create their own menus. The $35 license restricts to a single

First, the method name in your code is 'create', but the error
indicates that you called 'update'.
Second, web service calls are always static. When the call is made, a
new instance of the CFC is instantiated, the method is invoked, and
then the instance goes to garbage collection. If you need to
