I'm encountering the problem on a newly configured CF9 server (no hotfixes yet).
I'm using cfajaxproxy to create a JS proxy for a CFC. Here's the method in the
CFC:
cffunction name=test access=remote returntype=string returnformat=JSON
cfargument name=text
cfreturn
Not sure if this was just your typing or the actual code but
you've misspelled your return in the test function. cfreturn
agruments.text should be cfreturn arguments.text
Thanks Shane, that's just a problem in my typing (sorry about that). The actual
codes that is executing has the correct
Funny, I thought I replied yesterday...but the reply isn't here. Anyway, I
determined that the problem stems from using cfwindow in a custom tag.
You can use cfwindow multiple times in the same page successfully. When you do
use it multiple times on a page, CF is smart and only inserts the
I have a complex data entry page in which I use the cfwindow tag several times
to produce 3 different modal windows. Cfwindow is being used to provide access
to lookup tables for several different fields in a form (the cfwindow tags,
however, are employed on the page outside the form tags), so
Find any solutions Chad?
I too have not had luck using cfsprydataset with JSON data. I'm binding to the
CFC via the URL rather than directly to the CFC.

Rob - I'm working on someone else's site (i.eit's not my code) and was
trying to do some cfajaxproxy stuff and ran into the same problem. It turns
out, that there's a gotcha you need to look out for: if the application.cfm (or
anything else) is returning any HTML or content, it can screw up
I ran the So Cal CF User Group until it disbanded in the summer of '05. My
impression was that many CF developers in the LA area moved into other
technologies - .NET, Java, php, etc. CF jobs were relatively scarce and
still are. Just MHO...

Actually, there is such a thing but I believe it's technically referred to
as a Women-Owned Business Enterprise, just as there is a Minority-Owned
Business Enterprise.
Companies that want to claim the benefits of being a MBE/WBE need to meet
some standard in order to be 'certified' as a MBE or
the survey. You
can send comments to me directly.
