I'd argue that the 'spirit' of that mode should preclude someone from using it in a classroom environment. (Unless the licenses are paid for of course.) Anybody having a problem getting the Notepad++ cold fusion Lexer plug-in to install? You have to do it manually. The installer does not work. Sublime is amazing I have just switched. It's not free but if you use it as the free version its the same just has a pop up to purchase every now and then. Highly recommended for a speedy editor.
