cfdocument not working in ie

hi we have a cfdocument and works fine in firefox but when trying to view in internet explorer it only shows characters e.g. �[�ˏ ���C��_�y�l�fS�6(������{�(D�.�X�1�������� we have tried in pdf and flashpaper with the same
