Re: Anyway to disable CF FORM FIELD Validation?

Sure. Include a script that removes that attribute from any form field. You can use a custom tag in your application.cfc that inserts this script onrequest(). Pass some code and maybe we can test it out a little. ~| Want to

This works for any input in CF8: script $(document).ready(function(){ $(input).each(function(){ var inptname = $(this).attr(name); $(input[name=+inptname+_CFFORMREQUIRED]).remove(); }); }); /script

Re: SOT: ajaxCFC/JavaScript/dynamic forms

2009-10-22 Thread Tony Bentley
Generally when I want to return HTML, I use the JQuery load() function. When I want to return a data set in JSON: array or query object, return a boolean value or a single vfalue I use ColdFusion's native CFAJAXPROXY. I suggest returning the form using load(), which then will fix your issue.

There are plenty of examples online. Check the jQuery docs. I can only advise that when using load, you will need to pass all of your parameters using a URL string, which will limit what you can pass to the posting page. I also suggest passing a timestamp so the browser never caches the

That is very nice! Thanks Ray. So yeah, upgrade to CF9 hahaha. CF9 allows you to disable it with a This scope variable. ~| Want to reach the ColdFusion community with something they want? Let them know on the House of Fusion

I have done this before. The old way is to refresh the page. The new way is to toggle the rest of the content into view using Javascript. Include JQuery div id=snip #left(var,500)# /div div id=btnA onclick=$('#moreDiv').slideDown();$(#snip).hide()$(this).hide();$('#btnB').show()MORE/div div

Re: Return an image from a CFC directly to an img src tag

2009-11-03 Thread Tony Bentley
Return the image source dynamically. Get the source in your cfc, then invoke the cfc's method and use the method call as your var. cfscript img = createObject(component,imagecfc); /cfscript cfoutput img src=#img.getSource()# /cfoutput

I know this is not the place to post such queries, but I am very stressed out now and can not find solution to my problem. Maybe someone hase had similar experience while using ExtJS with ColdFusion. My scenario is simple. Upon clicking a menu item on my homepage, a window opens.
