Firstly LIKE is resource intensive, just equals if you know the full session
club id, then don't use * as it returns all records.
I'm not sure why 5000 iterations is going slow? an index won't speed up such
a small record subset very much.
Are you running it on a dedicated box? is it 3,000 years
you can also use it in teaching labs to teach your classes
