Hi Steve, It wasn't until the debugging session that Paul did for us that I managed to get it (preview) working. Like you I could get RDS working fine - but file previewing just did not work at all. I am at home today and I don't have CFB installed here - if no one answers before then - I'll send you my settings tomorrow.
