That will be because you're adding a link to an image that's relative
to the document.   I think you need to actually embed the image in the
document, or else make the link to an image out there on the internet
that the document can access when opened.

Easy to say and you probably worked that out yourself.   The trick
would be in how to embed the image in the document.

Of course if you made it a PDF instead it would have the image
embedded in it by default.
