My Father received this email today and was a touch concerned. I placated him by assuring he is quite OK. But I wonder what would prompt such a message that even spooked the old man... What are the naughty people doing?

Please be assured we'll contact you if it's a change that we believe will be detrimental for you. * We've reviewed our service level guarantee clauses and you will not be eligible for a service level guarantee rebate if: - You were not affected by the outage. - The disruption in your service was caused by a natural disaster or the weather. - The disruption was the result of damage to a facility of Telstra and was not caused by Telstra or its agents. * We've changed the definition of 'Plan Table' so it is clear that whenever the terms and conditions refers to Plan Table, we refer to the plan table you consulted when you signed up to BigPond. * We've clarified that you are not allowed to host any devices or services on your computer that allow emails to be sent between third parties not under your authority or control and that we are allowed to scan your IP addresses for incorrectly configured mail and proxy servers. The new terms and conditions will take effect on 10th December.
