[cfaussie] Web Based Equation Editors
I was wondering if anyone out there is using any web based open source 'equation editing' software within their applications? Terra Dotta's 'MathIWYG' product is now at version 2 - however according to their website is no longer for sale (including a previous version of the software that I used). http://www.terradotta.com/index.cfm?FuseAction=TerraDotta.HomeSelected=HomeLink_ID=118Page_ID=27 I am specifically looking for something that can be integrated with a rich text editor. [cfaussie] [Ann-Syd] Where's That Darn Cat?
It seems the bag is open and there's nothing there but AIR! As you may have heard, Adobe has announced the release of Adobe Flex 3 and Adobe AIR 1.0. Now that the cat is out of the bag, this will be the focus of our today's special meeting! Adobe is sponsoring this meeting with food, giveaways and a raffle copy of Adobe Flex Professional. Flex 3 is a feature-packed release, adding new UI components like the advanced datagrid and improved CSS capabilities; powerful tooling additions like refactoring; and extensive testing tools including memory and performance profiling, plus the addition of the automated testing framework to Flex Builder. Adobe AIR is game-changing in so many ways, delivering rich applications on the desktop, enabling access to the local file system, system tray, notifications and much more. Now you can write RIAs on the desktop using the same skills that you've been already using to create great web apps including both Flex and AJAX. as a developer (and father of two children) I just gotta ask - why? what happen if both of you want to play with the same toy at the same time? if the file is that big, wouldn't it be more convenient to have it refactored and modularised? I am specifically looking for something that can be integrated with a rich text editor. that's what a lot of LMS's (Learning management System) like Blackboard do using WebEQ. you don't know my kids... but seriously, two people editing the same lines of code - sends shivers down my spine. if it's a collaborative effort, then perhaps pair-programming? two heads, two pair of eyes, one pair of hands. [cfaussie] Re: Simultaneous editing in CFEclipse
As with Barry and Dale, I agree with the fact that even though Eclipse built in with SVN, can merge code it gets messy. And if you both are working on the same file at the same time, which can happen then you sould look at merging code with SVN. But the agreement comes down to refactoring your code as well.
