Thanks to all who attended last Thursday, from where I sat people seemed to be enjoying themselves and lots of good tech discussion (and general gossip) ensued.
As promised, we raffled the six-monthly software prize, taking into account attendances at the CFUGs for the second half of the year. You got your name on a ticket for the draw for each time you attended. We'll be continuing this practice in the coming year, with the additional refinement that presenters will get a bonus entry! The lucky winner from the CFUG for this year was Steve Armstrong. Congratulations Steve! You now need to contact me offline straight away so that I can arrange for Adobe to send you your prize. (peter at p-robertson dot com should do it). This needs to be finalized before the end of the month. Go to the Adobe store and select a full- license product costing up to US$2,100. It must be a discreet product, not an online service, nor an upgrade or anything like that. You will be getting a license and download instructions, (not a physical box product). Send me the details, along with the email address that you'd like Adobe to use, and your hardware platform (Mac or PC). You might like to let the list know what you choose? Congratulations also to Mr Buzzy and Phil Haeusler, each proud winners of Adobe drink containers. I'll deliver these to you at our next CFUG. So, there's a moral here, participate in your local UG and you stand to be rewarded! The more you participate, the better your chances. Also, we'd really, really like your input for what to do in the new year. Let us know your comments on format, topics, etc. We need to get attendances up, especially if we want to draw presenters from out of town.
