Re: [cfaussie] Re: JB-HI Moving to dotnet

2010-05-25 Thread Ian Marshall
Whatever Adobe are doing to promote CF in Australia it is not as much as
Firmware used to do.

Firmware, a tiny company compared to Adobe, with comparatively minuscule
resources ran CF seminars and demonstrations which attendees like me who knew
nothing of CF were blown away by the ease of development. After my first
seminar, they sold me my first copy of CF 4.0 on the way out and there were
others in the queue eager to hand over their dosh and get into CF!

So, yes, designated resellers with some incentive to sell CF to Corporates,
Govt, Everyone!

[cfaussie] Re: OT - Error Could not find a JVM

2008-04-16 Thread Ian Marshall
Hi Mark,

Applications/JRun4/bin/jvm.config looks like this:

#
# VM configuration
#
# Where to find JVM, if {java.home}/jre exists then that JVM is used
# if not then it must be the path to the JRE itself
#
# If no java.home is specified a VM is located by looking in these
places in this
# order:
#
# 1) JAVA_HOME environment variables (same rules as java.home above)
#  2) bin directory for java.dll (windows) or lib/ARCH/libjava.so
(unix)
#  3) ../jre
#  4) registry (windows only)
#

java.home=/System/Library/Frameworks/JavaVM.framework/Versions/1.5.0/
Home

# Arguments to VM

java.args=-Xms32m -Xmx128m

# java.class.path - use this for adding individual jars or
# directories. When directories are included they will be searched
# for jars and zips and they will be added to the classpath (in
# addition to the directory itself), the jar to be used in launching
# will be appended to this classpath

java.class.path={application.home}/servers/lib

#
# where to find shared libraries, again use commas to separate entries

2008-01-23 Thread Ian Marshall
Yep, still getting this error and eWay say they haven't changed
anything.

I wrote the XML response from eWay to a text file so that I could see
what was returned. It was in fact not XML at all, it was just the
words Connection Failed so it's hardly surprising CF could not
parse it.

eWay say they have no clue as to why this happens or where it comes
from. Still no closer to solving it.

 Some time ago, I raised the thought of setting up a Western Sydney

 There were several people at the time who indicated they would be

 Well it's suddenly taken on a life of its own and I think I can be
 assured
 of a regular venue in Penrith, a hop and a skip from the railway

 If there's anyone who would like to be involved in a UserGroup can you
 please let me know by posting to this list or sending me a private
