The ideal web development laptop is a MBP with an install of Win XP on
the same machine. This way you are able to test on all major browsers.
Show your clients what their site looks like in IE6 and in Safari
without having to take two laptops with you. :-)

I use a 17 inch macbook pro, and I absolutely love it. It has the power of unix if you need it, it has the ease of use of mac software and hardware and with parallels I can comfortably run windows and windows apps at full speed. Under parallels win2k and winxp run faster than they did on the desk
Shame that it has to be a PC... a 17" Powerbook/MBP would fit the bill
nicely.
It might be worthwhile seeing of there are Mac alternatives to the
software you use?
I don't know how much of enterprise manager's feature set you need, but
there are heaps of tools that do what query analyser doe
I've been thinking macbookpro running
