This is a development role. As part of the team the candidate will work to build a distributing computing platform for the investor community and all of JPMIS development efforts going forward. This will be a real-time solution investors use to do “what if” analysis on their recommendations to “x” customer to buy “y” stock. If customer were to buy the recommended stock, the investor can tell customer the impact to their aggregate risk profile before actually purchasing the stock/executing the transaction. If the purchase would exceed the limits of the risk profile, the system will give a warning that the purchase would make the risk profile go beyond tolerance. The system will ingest trading and other wealth management data. *Qualifications:* •5+ years with Core Java and full SDLC •Experience with Spring framework •Experience with restful service REST API •Experience with Git distributed version control, or Maven, for repository •Experience working in a Linux environment •Experience with Hazelcast or Gridgain in-memory data fabric is a plus but NOT REQUIRED. •Experience w/ Hadoop and other Big Data Technologies are a plus, but NOT REQUIRED •Financial experience is a plus, but not required *Role:* •Reports to Victor Tang •Contribute to application design •Be one of the developers for the distributed compute platform •Work with peers in the team, and in the bigger group as part of code reviews and design sessions •Work with technical and business partners to understand needs and provide innovative solutions •Document and test code *Additional Information: * *Work Environment: * This group will prefer someone who is humble and willing to learn vs. someone with 10+ years of experience and believes they are the best in the industry at what they do. The team is in their infancy - there wil be a combination of enhancements to existing screens as well as new development from scratch. JPMIS acts as the center of excellence for big data projects at JPMorgan Chase. The work environment can be high pressured at times due to deadline intensive projects. In addition, most resources will need to feel comfortable interacting with the business since this group consults with other lines of business. Although, JPMC is an investment bank, many groups understand they need to attract talent which may not want to work in a "stuffy" environment.
