This Thursday at Change Anne Schanz will talk about the complexities and difficulties of designing across different cultures.
Most ICT4D initiatives involve stakeholders from a number of different backgrounds; including different cultures. Technology developed in the course of these initiatives travels and crosses cultures. During this week's session, we are going to explore and discuss in what way cultural differences might affect the design of technology across cultures by means of a mini-workshop. And guess what - you get to play a game! Anne Schanz holds a master's degree in International Information Management, Psychology and Business Administration from the University of Hildesheim, Germany, and a Design Thinking degree from the University of Potsdam, Germany. She has been working in collaboration with the International Institute for Communication and Development (IICD) based in The Hague, The Netherlands, for four years. She has worked with two projects in Bolivia (EducaTic and CEPAC) that focus on digital educational content production and are funded by the same institute. *What:* Anne Schanz on cross-cultural design. *When:* Thursday, February 9th at Noon *Where:* Paul Allen Center, Room 203 -------------- next part -------------- An HTML attachment was scrubbed...
