Please share this unique opportunity with the students in your program.

Aloha,

Together, the Information School<https://ischool.uw.edu/> and the Office of
Minority Affairs and Diversity<https://www.washington.edu/omad/> have an
exciting new Study Abroad Program in Hawaii this summer. The program will
expose students to different ways of knowing and take them through a hands-on
journey from oceanic navigation to taro cultivation and fishing. The focus will
be on Hawaii and Oceania and will help students understand the value of
indigenous knowledge systems as valid, critical, and credible sources of
scientific information. There are two upcoming information sessions where
interested students can learn more and speak with program leaders.

Information sessions will be held in Bloedel 061 (in the iSchool Research Suite
– Bloedel Basement)

  *   Thursday, February 6, 2:30 – 3:30pm (PST)
  *   Monday, February 10, 4:00-5:00pm (PST)

If you cannot make it in person, you can join remotely using Zoom:
