Please share this unique opportunity with the students in your program. Aloha,
Together, the Information School<https://ischool.uw.edu/> and the Office of Minority Affairs and Diversity<https://www.washington.edu/omad/> have an exciting new Study Abroad Program in Hawaii this summer. The focus will be on Hawaii and Oceania and will help students understand the value of indigenous knowledge systems as valid, critical, and credible sources of scientific information. There are two upcoming information sessions where interested students can learn more and speak with program leaders. Information sessions will be held in Bloedel 061 (in the iSchool Research Suite – Bloedel Basement) * Thursday, February 6, 2:30 – 3:30pm (PST) * Monday, February 10, 4:00-5:00pm (PST) If you cannot make it in person, you can join remotely using Zoom: https://washington.zoom.us/j/5572669425 More information and a link to apply can be found here: https://studyabroad.washington.edu/index.cfm?FuseAction=Programs.ViewProgramAngular&id=11907 The application deadline is just around the corner: February 15.
