The assessments used to be based upon 40 percent of market value, but the
rate was around $5.85 per $100 of assessed value, plus the state assessment
bringing it to over

Your taxes weren't supposed to drop. The change was implemented to result in
the same level
revenue while looking better on the surface because the rate would appear to
be lower.

I am appealing my property tax assessment.
Does anyone know what "documentation" I should
bring with me? When I called the tax assessmentoffice they said I
didn't have to bring anything. But then I asked about photos - response:
