Steve:

This is a very important message to get out to the community, as it affects the
youngest of our members. Please put on your web site and that of the
discussion list - Thank you!

To all:

Last night at a Partners Meeting at Margaret Brent we learned that children are
leaving for the weekend returning to their homes where there may not be
sufficient food for them to eat. If this is happening at Margaret Brent, the
same applies for Barclay and Douglas Nicholas, all three schools which are in
the greater Charles Village boundaries.

One of the teachers there prepares back packs for these students to ensure that
they have something to eat during the weekend even if there is no electricity.
It may not be steaks, but it is enough to sustain these children and other
members of the familes during these hard times.

Let us as neighbors in the greater Charles Village areas provide foods that can
be consumed without electricity so that Margaret Brent and the other schools
can provide these children with something to eat.

I have already contacted Councilman Young and Mayor Dixon, but it would be
great to see the neighborhood getting together and doing something that would
ensure that no child goes hungry. Many of you helped keep the children warm
during the weekend, now maybe we can help them survive.

Do what you can as anything will be appreciated. Maybe Abell can work with
Barclay closely, we will work with Margaret Brent and maybe Old Goucher can
work with Dallas Nicholas. It is time to show our children what we in Charles
Village can do as a unified group.

Thanks,
