Here is important information about both the "Mayor's Fall Clean up"
this Saturday and the CVCBD Public Meeting the following Tuesday.
That meeting will be important because it includes elections of quad
representatives, and it includes a public hearing on some bylaws changes
that may have a major effect on the operation of CVCBD and on the amount
of taxes it imposes. If you are concerned, then you should attend.

Mayor Sheila Dixon has chosen Charles Village as the starting point
for the "Mayor's Fall Clean Up"! She will arrive at 2301 N. Charles
Street around 8:00 a.m. this Saturday, October 20^th . All "Clean Up"
volunteers are invited to start this Saturday day with Mayor Dixon.
This Saturday's clean up is sponsored by the City of Baltimore and
supported by the CVCA and the CVCBD. All of the supplies necessary to
leave our sidewalks, tree wells and street gutters pristine clean will
be provided. Details regarding the locations where materials can be
picked up are referenced in the email below from Katie Beltz of the
CVCBD. Please read this important email and then let me know if you
can volunteer to help organize your block to participate in the
Mayor's Clean thing! And definitely let me know if you can
participate in the opening "clean it up" rally this Saturday!

*Mayors Fall Clean Up - October 20th 2007*
It's time for the Fall Clean Up again, scheduled for Saturday
October, 20th from 9am to 2pm.
We need your help recruiting your neighbors, thinking about how
best to clean up your block, and we hope to see you out on the day of.
Look for the tables (locations below) where you can borrow tools from
the city; including Gloves, Brooms, Rakes, Shovels, and Bags.
We will also be having cook outs in two locations again this year!
One on the corner of 27th and Maryland and one at 2528 Barclay Street.
The main dishes will be provided, but please feel free to make your
special side dish and bring it to share. Cook outs will start around
1:30 or 2 pm.
Table locations are as follows: 23rd and Guilford
27th and Maryland
27th and Barclay
3000 Guilford
Let me know what you can do, and as always please call me with any
questions or concerns.
