i've had tmobile for years and always found coverage to be fine. i'm in
the 2600 block of guilford I don't have a landline and sometimes you
can get in to trouble going from back to front of house as the phone wants
to swap towers but most of time i have a decent cell and strong data
signal.
I get great reception on T-mobile in my home on the western edge of CV, but
I'm sitting just a little bit north at Hopkins right now and I have about
one bar, and I frequently get zero bars at a friend's house in Fed Hill. So
it definitely varies across the city.

Consumer Reports rates T-Mobile as second to Verizon in DC. Their
ratings don't include Baltimore.
MetroPCS has revised their advertising to say that they run on the
T-Mobile network, which makes the service more interesting to me!
