NagiosXI does not play well with Check_MK. There is a NagiosXI forum
run by the company to help users with NagiosXI problems.

Re: [Check_mk (english)] Need help on ESXi Hardware monitoring using Nagios XI

2017-08-10 Thread Andreas Döhler
Nagios XI is not a supported platform for check_mk - you can take a look
at Check_MK Raw Edition (CRE)
http://mathias-kettner.de/check_mk_download_version.php?HTML=yes=1.4.0p9=cre
or
OMD Labs Edition from Consols https://labs.consol.de/repo/testing/ of
https://labs.consol.de/repo/stable/

On booth pages you will find complete installations for OMD packages. The
difference is the included components.
Take a look at the list of components and test the package suitable for
your needs.

 Hi Vani,

you are sure that you are using iLO2 at your actual servers? That is
 around 10 years old :)
Check the help output of your plugin if you can specify iLO3 or iLO4 as
 target version.
For iLO4 there is a real nice API developed from HP for querying the
 status of components.
 https://github.com/HewlettPackard/python-ilorest-library
If you are using check_mk i also made some sample plugins with this API.

Re: [Check_mk (english)] Need help on ESXi Hardware monitoring using Nagios XI

2017-08-09 Thread Andreas Döhler
Hi Vani,

you are sure that you are using iLO2 at your actual servers? That is around
10 years old :)
Check the help output of your plugin if you can specify iLO3 or iLO4 as
target version.
For iLO4 there is a real nice API developed from HP for querying the status
of components.
https://github.com/HewlettPackard/python-ilorest-library
If you are using check_mk i also made some sample plugins with this API.
