Keith,
I'm confused here (not hard to do). If TH400 and M22 cars used the larger
1350 u-joints and every one you've seen have a u-bolt, it contradicts the
others with TH400 transmissions and the strap/bolt
accepted rule.

Like I said in a previous reply, my theory was blown out of the water.
Given what I've seen and experienced, I made the incorrect assumption that
the larger 1350 U-joints used the U-bolt style yoke. Apparently that's not
true in all cases. And we also have people

that MOST 12 bolts had the strap style. I went back through Jegs and

Thanks guys. I hate to take time to say what many others have said before me,
but I have to let you know how important this list is to many of us. All of
the valuable insights and information that is available and can't be had from
many books and documents. It takes so long to get things

Beware of blanket statements; u-bolts were not standard across the board.

Dale, I wasn't trying to mislead Ryan with a blanket statement. In my
experience, I had never come across a 12 bolt that had straps. And I have
come across more than one or two. But I haven't worked on one with a TH400.

In 69 the strap style was found on all 12 bolt rears and the U-bolt on all ten
