[Chicken-users] How to build from git? Errors on Ubuntu 15.10

I have chicken 4.9.0.1 installed, is that recent enough for bootstrapping? I'm interested in trying feathers and the new profiling. Are there any plans to back port those features to the 4 series? Here are the first few errors: gcc -fno-strict-aliasing -fwrapv -DHAVE_CHICKEN_CONFIG_H
