Let's get busy, our work is cut out for us. We can help get the military out
of Iraq and put an end to that illegal war. It must stop. the children there
are traumatized severely and so are the people. We must give them a chance to
heal their country, but we must also help to heal our own nation and especially
our Military, who need a much deserved rest and to be with their families.
Nothing is being solved there, the only thing that is working is the oil
refineries. And we can't afford to keep our military there for the personal
use of this administration and their friends. They will have to get their
friends to pay for this any longer,
we the people are tired of paying irs taxes simply for this administration
and his wars. We know he is deceiving us, and I just don't think the American
people are willing to go along with that. If we are going to stop this
NorthAmericanUnion, we had better get started.

Let's get busy and stand up with the Congress and get some things done. Call
congression members and write emails, snail mails anyway we can. We must
appeal to them to bring our military home and end this non-productive war.
There is no victories to be won, it was an illegal war from the first and still
is. Our military does not deserve being used in such activies. They are
proud, bright and know how to defend our country, but we are in the wrong war,
wrong time. It just won't work. After the insurgency, there are 21% more
deaths in our mililtary and also in the iraqi population. Time to get out and
come home. Let's Blitz Congress and then Blitz the Senate, both sides. So
let's get busy.

!important;} Dear Theresa J., Senate
Majority Leader Harry Reid (D-NV)
A Congressional Conference Committee agreed yesterday to a $124 billion
spending bill that orders President Bush to begin withdrawing U.S. troops from
Iraq by October 1 and sets a goal of having most combat forces out of Iraq
within six months after that. The House is set to vote on the bill tomorrow
and the Senate on Thursday. Please call your Representative and Senators and
urge them to support the bill and its timetable to withdraw U.S. troops from
Iraq. Council for a Livable World would like to see U.S. troops brought home
from Iraq as soon as possible and we want Congress to adopt that position.
Unfortunately, we do not have a majority in Congress that supports that
position. Public opinion polling similarly shows that while there is a clear
majority of Americans against the war, a majority of the American people does
not yet support an immediate funding cutoff. The only way to overcome a
presidential veto is to convince the American public and two-thirds
of Congress that an early pullout is desirable. Until that happens, however,
the legislation approved by the conference committee is a critical step that
deals a major rebuke to President Bush and his failed war policies. Please
call your Representative and Senators and urge them to support the bill and its
timetable to withdraw U.S. troops from Iraq. There is no time to spare. Don’t
make the perfect the enemy of the good; this legislation is important to ending
the war. Sincerely,
John Isaacs and Guy Stevens P.S. Click here for a complete copy of the
